Privacy policy

Harbor is a product from CADCS Technology (“CADCS,” “we,” or “us”). This policy explains how we handle information through the Harbor website and its download and registration features. The desktop app handles data on your device and through any services you connect; see “The Harbor app” below.
Information we collect
If you register on the download page: we collect your name and email address, the company name if you provide it, whether you opted in to product news, and the operating system, build, and version you selected. The registration service stores this information with a creation timestamp. Registration is optional and is not required to download Harbor.
Download counts: when you start a download, the website records the operating system, build, version, and whether registration was reported as successful. If you skip registration, this event does not include your name or email address.
Website and delivery requests: our site and download files are delivered using Cloudflare services. As with ordinary internet requests, Cloudflare and other providers involved in delivery may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, and request time for delivery, reliability, and security. Their handling is described in their own privacy notices.
Fonts: the website requests fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to retrieve them, and Google may receive technical request information under its own privacy terms. You can use browser settings or tools that block external requests if you do not want that connection.
The website code does not intentionally use advertising cookies or a third-party audience analytics service. This does not prevent infrastructure providers from processing technical data needed to serve and protect the site.
How we use information
- To provide downloads, operate and secure the website, and understand which builds are being requested.
- To respond to requests you send us and, if you separately opt in, to contact you about Harbor product news.
- To maintain the registration and download records and meet applicable legal obligations.
The registration form currently saves your details but does not create an account, issue a license, or send a trial key or marketing email. If you opted in, we retain that preference for any future product-news email program. You can withdraw that permission at any time by contacting us.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed with service providers that host the website, database, or downloads; to protect the Services and enforce our rights; to comply with law; or as part of a business transfer, subject to applicable law. Our registration database is configured in Cloudflare D1 in the Asia-Pacific region. Providers may process information in other locations as needed to deliver their services.
Retention and your choices
We keep registration information while it is useful for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. We keep download counts for operational and usage reporting. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete registration information, or withdraw your product-news consent, by emailing [email protected]. We may need to retain limited information where the law requires it or for legitimate security and recordkeeping needs. Rights available to you depend on the law where you live.
The Harbor app
The website registration and download systems described above do not collect your saved hosts, SSH keys, passwords, terminal contents, or cloud credentials. Harbor’s product information describes an encrypted local vault and optional sync. The exact data handled, storage, and security behavior can depend on the app version, settings, and connected services. Review the notices shown in the app and the terms and privacy practices of any service you connect. Do not send credentials to us by email.
Security and children
We use service providers and safeguards intended to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the website or Harbor changes. We will post the revised version here and change the date above. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will take any additional steps required by law.
